It is with great sadness that we note the death of Vicky Ransmeier, docent and friend of the museum, on October 21, 2009. Vicky was deeply committed to the museum and its educational mission. She radiated enthusiasm as she shared her love and knowledge of art with visitors to the Hood during her six years as a docent.
In recognition of her dedication to art and to the museum, her husband, Michael, invited family and friends to make donations to the Hood in Vicky's memory. Donations will be used toward the purchase of a work of art and toward the museum's education programs. When the funds are used for these purposes, the museum will attach a credit line that names and honors Vicky. We thank the many people who have made contributions in Vicky's memory already.
