Ignore the construction next door! We are open as usual.

Campus Construction

There are a few construction projects happening around the museum this summer, but we are open as usual. Our neighbor, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, is in the midst of a major expansion and renovation.

Dartmouth has also kicked off its carbon neutral project. Due to contruction, the sidewalk and parking spaces on the south side of East Wheelock Street to Crosby Street are closed through August 31, 2024. The easiest way to access the Hood Museum is from Lebanon Street. The museum has two entrances: a north entrance (wheelchair accessible) and a south entrance (stairs). If you require a wheelchair accessible entrance, and are in need of assistance, please call the museum's front desk prior to your visit (603-646-2900) and a Visitor Services Guide will direct you.
