Directions & Information
The museum's galleries are closed for the expansion project, but the Hood Downtown exhibition space is open, and our public art remains on view throughout Dartmouth's campus.

After 4.1 miles, Rt. 120 forks at a traffic light. Bear right at the fork, following Rt. 120 one-half mile on South Park Street to the second traffic light. Turn left at the light, onto East Wheelock Street. After two-tenths of a mile, you will come to the Dartmouth Green (right) and the Hanover Inn (left). Turn left onto Main Street in Hanover, and Hood Downtown is just past the next traffic light on the right.

From New York (about 5 hours), southern New England, and points south

In the Upper Valley, ride the Advance Transit Brown, Green, or Orange Route to the Hanover Inn stop. Hood Downtown is located at 53 Main Street.
Metered public parking is available in front of the museum on Wheelock Street and behind the museum on Lebanon Street. An all-day public parking garage is located at 7 Lebanon Street.
Parking for school buses is located in the A Lot on East Wheelock Street. After dropping off passengers near the museum entrance that faces the Green, continue driving east on Wheelock Street. Cross North Park Street (go straight through the traffic light). Drive just under .3 mile. The A Lot will be on your left, marked by a small black-and-white sign. The bus may wait in the A Lot until it is time to pick up the students. The driver should stay with the bus.
