Explore the arts through our exclusive travel opportunities for Director's Circle members.
Every year, Director's Circle members are invited to join Hood Museum staff on an arts-inspired trip that highlights institutions, artists, or collections that are connected to or reflected in our mission. Recent trips have taken members to Denver and Aspen, Colorado, Chicago, Illinois, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. The travelers are accompanied and guided by John Stomberg, the Virginia Rice Kelsey 1961s Director of the Hood Museum of Art, and a member of the Hood Museum's curatorial team.
From September 28–October 2, 2024, the Director's Circle will travel to the Hudson River Valley. Organized by Michael Hartman, Jami Powell, and John Stomberg, this trip will encompass work by Indigenous artists, landscape painters, public sculptors, and more.
