About

Laura Howard joined the Hood Museum of Art staff as Assistant to the Director in July 2021. In July  2023, Laura was promoted to Assistant to the Director and Advancement Manager. Laura's work in the Director's Office includes managing the director's calendar and travel schedule, assisting with internal and external communications, and contributing to overall office organization. In the advancement area, Laura contributes to donor relations and stewardship by working with the Friends of the Hood Museum of Art, the Director's Circle, and the Hood Board of Advisors. Prior to coming to the Hood, Laura served as an assistant with the National Wildlife Refuge System, a division of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Laura holds a bachelor's degree in art history from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
