About

Chang holds a PhD from the University of Michigan, an MA from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from Hongik University in the History of Art. A scholar of modern Korean and Japanese art, Chang completed her dissertation in 2023 on the interactions between painting and photography in early twentieth-century Korea. She has held previous positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the University of Michigan Museum of Art, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
