About

As the Hood Museum's NAGPRA Coordinator, Emily Andrews engages in consultations with tribal nations across the country with the goal of maintaining respectful and culturally appropriate storage and curation practices. Working closely with the Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs and Curator of Indigenous Art, as well as the Program Manager for Osteological Repatriation and Review, Emily oversees NAGPRA consultation and repatriation processes alongside other institutional and tribal partners. Originally from Oklahoma, Emily first joined the Hood Museum in September of 2021 as that year's Homma Family Intern. After graduating from Dartmouth in 2022, she was brought on full-time to continue her work with the museum.
