The print depicts a street-level view of city architecture, captured in the reflection of a window. From a distance, it appears to be a photograph; only upon closer examination do we realize it is not. Indeed, we see no reflection of a photographer, camera, or ourselves.

Estes was interested in the potential for abstraction in windows. In this work, there are so many levels of reflected rectangles which overlap and obscure one another that it becomes difficult to distinguish between outside and inside. The window serves as a surface on which we see a new blended reality.
