Create a community chalk garden outside the museum.
Visit Make Space and add to our 3D community garden.
Collaborate on a large-scale mosaic in the museum's Russo Atrium.

Music
Listen to a live performance by the Dartmouth Rockapellas.

"Monet and Impressionism"

The Hood Museum of Art and the Hopkins Center present this collaborative glimpse into the life and times of the Impressionists, with a spotlight on Monet. Tickets can be purchased at the Hop Box Office (603-646-2422) or at hop.dartmouth.edu.

8 and 15 August, Friday, 2:00–4:00 pm
SPECIAL PROGRAM
"Art in Focus"

Join us for a unique opportunity for dialogue and connection through art, designed for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, along with their family members or care partners. Specially trained museum educators will guide you through themes, artists, and exhibitions in an interactive and engaging session in the galleries, followed by an art-making activity (all materials provided). Assistive listening devices are available. Free of charge. Space is limited and preregistration is required through our website.

THE DR. ALLEN W. ROOT CONTEMPORARY ART DISTINGUISHED LECTURESHIP
"Speaking of Kinship"

Join us for a panel discussion with three of the artists whose work is featured in the exhibition Visual Kinship: Nancy Rivera, Sim Chi Yin, and Kali Spitzer. Moderated by Associate Curator of Photography Alisa Swindell, the conversation will address photography's role in thinking about, understanding, and knowing kinship and its relation to their art practice. A reception will follow in Russo Atrium.
