This year’s Family Weekend, taking place Sept. 27 to 29, brings together families and supporters of first-year and graduating students to explore and experience life at Dartmouth. This much-anticipated visit for families offers a dynamic schedule of events that showcases the best of Dartmouth’s academic, athletic, and social offerings.

President Sian Leah Beilock will be joined by Dartmouth trustee and parent Odette Harris ’91 in a conversation about initiatives for Dartmouth’s future and other topics of special interest to parents and families.

Families will have the opportunity to attend a faculty lecture and engage with Dartmouth’s renowned faculty members and cheer on Big Green teams competing at home. To learn more about campus resources, they can drop by an open house expo and meet campus partners, learn more about residential life, and enjoy a family brunch in their students’ house community.

Dartmouth’s cultural and artistic highlights include a community day at the Hood Museum of Art, a tour of the Orozco mural in Baker Library, and a cappella and dance performances. The weekend’s offerings also include nature explorations of Pine Park and Gile Mountain and a half-day mindfulness retreat offered by the Student Wellness Center.

Interim Deans of the College Anne Hudak and Eric Ramsey, along with Bridget Colacchio, director of family support and engagement, will also speak with parents, supporters, and other visitors on campus that weekend.

“We’re excited to welcome families to campus to reconnect with their students and meet other Dartmouth families. This weekend is a terrific chance to get to know our many resources in support of undergraduate students and experience firsthand the incredible variety of community life on campus,” says Hudak.

The Class of 2025 students and families will share tips and information about what they learned during their family’s Dartmouth experience with the Class of 2028 families.

More than 3,300 participants are registered for the weekend’s programs. For parents and families of the Class of 2025 and 2028 who cannot attend in person, recordings of select sessions will be sent after the events.
