This publication features the collection of Trevor Fairbrother, an independent curator, and John T. Kirk, a scholar of early American decorative arts, who have donated important works to the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College. Emphasizing the museum’s teaching mission, the plate sections are organized by the following themes: histories, wonders, goods, marks, males, geometries, and surfaces.
