This video,"Focus on Faculty: Colleen Randall," was created by Dartmouth News. For Studio Art Professor Colleen Randall, the process of painting—the selection of her palette, the physical act of applying oils to canvas, the textural changes as she adds new layers—is as important as the finished image hanging on the gallery walls.
About
This two-gallery exhibition features abstract paintings on canvas and paper by this well-respected member of the Dartmouth studio art faculty, including new works created in 2018 and 2019 alongside slightly earlier works from her Immanence and Syncope series.
This exhibition is organized by the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, and was generously supported by the Bernard R. Siskind Fund and the Eleanor Smith Fund.
