ABOUT THE PANELISTS
Brooke A. Minto '01 is an arts administrator, art historian, and educator with twenty years of experience working for museums and interdisciplinary arts organizations in the United States and abroad.  She currently serves as Executive Director of the Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums, and as a Managing Director of the Advisory Board for the Arts. Previously, Minto served as interim Co-Director and Director of Institutional Advancement at Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) in Cape Town, South Africa. She was also the founding Executive Director of Zeitz MOCAA Foundation USA. Prior to her tenure at Zeitz MOCAA, Minto held senior leadership roles at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), and the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). She began her museum career in the curatorial department of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Minto has been adjunct lecturer in the Department of Art and Art History at Florida International University in Miami and has contributed essays and articles on contemporary art to exhibition catalogues and other publications. She regularly serves as a visiting critic and juror for creative practices including visual arts, architecture, and film. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Minto studied art history, and earned a master’s degree in Modern Art and Critical Studies from Columbia University.

Michael Klein ’14 runs Art Market Research & Analytics at Sotheby’s, where he is responsible for overseeing art market analysis and bringing market & pricing insights to clients.  He has published original analysis of the art market on topics such as female artists, artist deaths, and museum retrospectives. Michael previously worked as a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting in the Strategy & Operations division, where he was additionally part of Deloitte’s Art & Finance team.
