Provenance
Collection of Bishop John Edward Cohill, S.V.D. Collected during his service in China in 1940s. In 1949, while serving China as a missionary, the Communist party expelled him. He brought some items out of China with him. He gave them to John J and Francis E Monahan, Winthrop, MA when visiting them in 1950.
