Kali joined the Hood Museum as a Visitor Services Guide in the spring of 2025 before being promoted to Assistant Registrar in the spring of 2026. As part of the registration team, Kali helps manage and facilitate all aspects of outgoing loans and assists with the rolling and permanent collection. She also performs art handler duties for the Bernstein Center for Object Study, imaging, exhibitions, and other collection care projects. Kali graduated from Boston University in 2022 with a M.A. in Archaeology with a focus in Heritage Management & Preservation. She mainly explores ideas of developed identity through cultural heritage within colonized societies, most notably focusing on Japan and its relationship with Korea during its period of colonization. As a secondary degree from Boston University, she obtained a B.A in Japanese Language and Literature, as well as a Museum Studies Certificate. Previously, Kali was part of the curatorial team at the Longfellow House- Washington's Headquarters National Historic Site as a Museum Technician, working closely with historical objects for preservation. She was also a part of several projects to reopen other historical sites, such as the JFK Birthplace in Brookline, MA.
