Brooke Friday joined the Hood Museum in February 2024. As assistant curator of education, Brooke serves as the primary liaison between regional K–12 schools and the museum, oversees the docent program, and will envision and implement a wide array of engagement resources for community audiences. Brooke holds an MA in Museum and Galleries in Education from University College London, where she completed her thesis on "Trauma and the Utilization of Trauma-Informed Educational Practices in Museums." Previously, Brooke worked various roles at the Smithsonian, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Museum Hack, Royal Air Force Museum, and other cultural institutions. Brooke also holds a B.A. in Musical Theater from American University.
