Collected by Lt. Col. Alfred Theodore Clifton (1875-1944) in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War and the Philippine-American War, about 1900; given to present collection (through his son, Alfred Theodore Clifton, Jr. (1906-1996), Class of 1927), 1942.
