About
Holding Knowledge: The Tenenbaum Family Collection features highlights from a significant gift of 112 modern and contemporary Native American ceramic objects from the family of Lorlee and Arnold Tenenbaum '58. The exhibition's almost 50 works explore Pueblo, Hopi, and Diné or Navajo traditions and feature prominent artists such as Roxanne Swentzell, Virgil Ortiz, Diego Romero, Nampeyo, Russell Sanchez, Al Qöyawayma, Christine McHorse, Lisa Holt, and Maria and Julian Martinez, among others.
This exhibition is organized by the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth and generously supported by the Evelyn A. J. Hall Fund.
