In the rooted stance of the modern dance tradition, iconic performer Judith Jamison shares her enthusiasm for her art while instructing a young student during a guest-artist stint in Vermont. Jamison is best known for being the muse for and originating performer of the Alvin Ailey–choreographed solo piece Cry, an ode to Black womanhood that culminates in ecstatic joy.
