Deb Haynes


Debbie Haynes has worked in the registrar’s office since 1985. In consultation with the Hood’s object curators, she reviews, updates, and coordinates catalogue documentation for the entire collection, including an average of about 600 new objects per year. This involves adding to existing records, exhibition and publication documentation, label copy, and Mellon and Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) scholar research. She also establishes systems and standards for digitizing the Hood’s object documentation and hires and trains data-entry student employees. Debbie also assists with storage and exhibition-related projects. Before joining the Hood staff, Debbie was an Estate Coordinator at Sotheby’s, New York. Subsequently, Debbie was the Recorder in the Registrar’s Office at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
