About
Arieh Fried started working at the Hood Museum in September 2019. His rotating responsibilities as a visitor services guide consist of managing the front desk by answering visitor questions, keeping track of visitor demographics, and monitoring the camera systems throughout the building. When he is in the gallery, Arieh reports the status of the collection pieces, room climate, and electronic security throughout the course of his workday. Finally, he is responsible for opening and closing both the Hood Museum of Art and the Bernstein Center of Object Study. He received a BA in history at the University of Hartford, followed by an MBA from the University of New Haven, and a Museum Studies Certificate at Harvard University's Extension School Program.
