Signed, in plate, lower right: Piraneesi Fec.; Inscribed in plate, lower left: Volgarmente cosi si chiama. Alcuni han pensato, che fosse d'Ercole; ma il Cluverio nel lib. 3. de Ital. antiqu. / suppone che fosse di Tiburno per quelle parole di Stazio nel lib. 1. delle Selve ... illa recubat Tiburnus / in umbra; illic fulphureos cupid Albula mergere crines. Sul fregio di esso leggesi questa / tronca inscrizione.....F.L. GELLIO.L.F. Abbiamo due Lucz Gelljfigliuoli di Lucio.; Incribed, in plate, lower center: Veduta del tempio della Sibilla in Tivoli / Presso l'Autere a Strada Felice nel Palazzo Tamati vicino alla Trinita de monti; Inscribed in plate, lower right: Consoli l'uno l'anno di Roma DCXXXCI, l'altro l'anno DCCXVII. l'uno / di essi forse fece o ristauro questo tempio. 2 Altro tempio antico, oggi di / S. Giorgio. Anche questo, per que' versi de Satzio potrebbe dirsi della Dea / Albunea.....illa Tirburnus in umbra, illic Albula.
