Inscribed, in plate, lower right: A. Bloemaert inve./J. Saenredam Sculp./et excu./ A.o 1605. In the lower margin is a twenty-line Latin peom in Ovidian style by Theodor Schrevel, paraphrasing the story with passages from Ovid and a brief one from Virgil's Georgica.
