From a set of six chair used in the house of Ezekiel Webster (17780-1829, Class of 1804), Boscanwen, New Hampshire (?); to his niece Mary Anne Webster Sanborn (Mrs. Edwin W., 1816-1864), Hanover, New Hampshire (used in Sanborn House); given to Mrs. Francies A. Newton, Hartford, Vermont as a wedding present (she lived in Sanborn House as a girl); given to her cousin, James Willis Newton (1863-unknown, Class of 1886) to give to Dartmouth College, 1933.
