"Made and at one time worn by Mr. Hara," (possibly Taneaki Hara)" Okayama, Japan, date unknown; inherited by his widow, Mrs. Hara, date unknown; given by Mrs. Hara to benefit the new mission church, date unknown; sent back to the United States to be sold to benefit the church; in the family of Everett Mellen Stevens (1878-1960), Nashua, New Hampshire; given to present collection, 1931.
