Inscriptions
Verso: Upper center, stamped in purple ink, "Credit will be appreciated Paramount Photo by Eugene Robert Richee" / Center right, stamped in blue ink, "Property of Photoplay Magazine Return to Library Dec 20 1934" / Lower center, typed in black ink on white paper, affixed, "A GARDENING COSTUME - will be important in next spring's wardrobe, according to Travis Banton, Paramount style expert. Gertrude Michael, in 'Father Brown, Detective', wears this new type of costume which consists of a white crepe shirt-waist frock enveloped by a crepe smock with full sleves and bands of smocking across the shoulders and back. It is ideal for the hostess who enjoes cutting her own flowers just before her guests arrive as the smock protects the frock and is, at the same time, becoming and feminine." and, in graphite, "P-1640-210"
