Jillian E. Kruse

Curatorial Assistant

Jillian joined the Hood Museum of Art in September 2016. She comes to the Hood from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where she worked as a Graduate Research Intern in Art of Europe. Jillian holds a B.A. in History and French, a M.A. in Irish Studies, and an M.Phil in Public History and Cultural Heritage from Trinity College Dublin. During her time in Dublin, Jillian also served as a Curatorial Intern in Prints & Drawings at the National Gallery of Ireland for which she was awarded a grant from the International Fine Print Dealers Association. She is passionate about prints as well as photography and has specific research interests in nineteenth-century popular culture and representations of indigenous culture. She is responsible for cataloguing and researching the museum’s rich collection of prints
