Social entrepreneur, documentary director, and new media artist Christopher Allen, will talk about his fascinating collaborative projects, uniting the creative efforts of hundreds of artists, documentary makers and communities. Among other ventures this work has included directing the expansive documentary project Living Los Sures, highlighted at the New York Film Festival, Brooklyn Museum and MoMA's PS1, the interactive documentary Capitol of Punk, which was part of “Design and the Elastic Mind” at the Museum of Modern Art, and playing a leading role in the invention and execution of The Ride NY, a live theatrical and cinematic experience on the streets of the city, and Yellow Arrow, a place-based storytelling project exhibited online and in galleries and museums internationally.

The DEN Innovation Center & New Venture Incubator fosters and promotes entrepreneurship. The DEN offers courses, workshops, speaker series, startup competitions and networking activities. In the heart of the Arts and Innovation District in Hanover, the DEN Innovation Center and New Venture Incubator is a tangible manifestation of President Hanlon's vision for Dartmouth as a hub of entrepreneurial creativity and energy.

The goal of the DEN is to establish a renowned, world-class, entrepreneurial competency for students, faculty, staff and alumni unique to Dartmouth—one that generates intellectual discoveries, supports commercialization, and energizes Dartmouth’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Such discovery and application is integral to Dartmouth’s mission to provide transformational education and essential to Dartmouth’s obligation to improve society.
