To mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of Jim Dines participation in Dartmouth Colleges Artist-in-Residence Program, this exhibition presents a selection of Dines prints from the collection of Mitchell Friedman, Class of 1974, who as a master printer was involved in the creation of many of these works. One of the most talented draftsman of his generation, Dine has always been a prolific and highly inventive printmaker, freely combining various techniques and pushing the medium to its limits. Among the prints included in this exhibition are some of his most celebrated images, including The Dartmouth Portraits, A Robe Colored with 13 Kinds of Oil Paint, and Rachel Cohens Flags. |
