This exhibition presents a selection of more than one hundred modern and contemporary photographs from the acclaimed collection of Sondra Gilman. Distinguished by the remarkable breadth of its coverage of the development of photography during the twentieth century, this collection includes works by such celebrated figures as Eugène Atget, Alfred Stieglitz, and Edward Weston. Organized thematically, From the Heart reveals Sondra Gilman’s vision and imagination as well as her fascination with many of the themes that are central to our understanding of the history of photography.
