Tours of the Museum


Guided tours of the museum's collections, special exhibitions, and the Orozco fresco located in Baker-Berry Library are available.

College Tours

If you are a Dartmouth College faculty member or student, please contact the Coordinator of Academic Programming.

School Tours

The Hood Museum of Art offers regional school children the opportunity to learn from great works of art. During school group visits, students are encouraged to make connections between classroom learning and the museum's collection, to exercise their creative and analytical thinking skills, and to gain appreciation for the accomplishments of cultures from around the world.

Community Tours

Group tours led by museum docents are available by appointment for any group of five or more. To schedule a tour, email or call the Education Department at (603) 646-1469.

Introductory Tours, offered on selected Saturday afternoons, are designed to introduce visitors to special exhibitions. See the Calendar of Events for current listings of introductory taking place at the Hood.
