Works of art owned by the Trustees of Dartmouth College may be photographed or videotaped for personal use only. No work of art on loan to the Hood Museum of Art may be photographed under any circumstances without written permission from the lender and/or copyright holder. Anyone interested in photographic reproductions for publication, or other commercial uses must complete an Application for Permission to Publish and secure permission from the copyright holder if other than the museum.
Hand-held video and conventional cameras may be used in the permanent collection galleries with available light only. Tripods, light stands, and other types of flash equipment may not be used.
The Hood Museum reserves the right to further restrict photography in the galleries as necessary.
Anyone wishing to take photographs for their own personal use is required to sign the photograph release form at the Visitor Services Desk.
