We welcome visitors to photograph or videotape works of art owned by the Hood Museum of Art (Trustees of Dartmouth College) for personal use only. No flash, please! Photographs cannot be commercially published, sold, reproduced, transferred, or distributed. Works of art on loan to the Hood Museum of Art may not be photographed.

Signs or objects labels marked with the symbol indicate that no photography is permitted for that object or exhibition. If in doubt, ask a member of our visitor services team! Handheld cameras or mobile phones may be used in the permanent collection galleries with available light only. Flash photography, tripods, and other photographic equipment are not permitted in the galleries. The Hood Museum of Art reserves the right to further restrict photography in the galleries as necessary.
All image and photography shoot requests by the media should be directed to the Head of Publishing and Communications.
