Op! Pop! Art that Plays with Your Eyes
12 September, Saturday, 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-3:00 pm
Experience eye-popping paintings in this special exhibition of Op, or optical, Art. With puzzles and games, we’ll learn how artists use color, lines, and shape to create a range of optical illusions. In the studio, we’ll create our own op art pieces to dazzle the eye. For children ages 6 to 10 and their adult companions. Powerful Figures from Africa

Explore sculptures from Africa and discover how these works of art play powerful roles in people’s lives. In the studio, we’ll use mixed media to create super figures of our own. Discover Modern Art!
8 November, Sunday, 12:00-5:00 pm
Spend the afternoon exploring modern art from all over the world. You’ll discover huge objects, unusual materials, and lots of creative ideas. Written guides and activities will help you look and learn in the galleries. Then, join us in the studio to experiment with some modern art making ideas of your own. For children ages 6 to 12 and their adult companions. No pre-registration is required.
