Students from Paul Christesen's Classical Studies course "Antiquity Today:
An Introduction to Classical Studies" examine ancient art in the Bernstein
Study-Storage Center.
One of the missions of the Hood Museum of Art is to serve as an exciting learning resource for students. There are a number of ways in which students can become involved in the Hood, either informally, in an event or program geared for student enrichment (arts workshops, student opening parties, poetry readings, discussion groups, student-led gallery talks), or formally, through a Dartmouth class that uses the museum's exhibitions and collections. The Hood offers many lectures, gallery talks, symposia, and receptions over the course of the year. Just click on the Calendar of Events to access information about these programs. The museum also offers a senior internship program to approximately six students every year as well as opportunities for student employment as an office assistant, security guard, or data entry assistant.
