Photographic Services Fee Schedule

Media Fees apply to Scholars and Non-Profits as well as Commercial entities.

New Photography Fee: $100*

Black and White 8 X 10 print:  $20
35 mm Color Slide, in stock: $5
35 mm Color Slide, duped from Master: $10
4 X 5 Color Transparency, Four Month Rental**: $100

*If we do not having existing photography of the object requested, the requestor will be notified. $100 is the standard per object new photography fee.  For more complicated objects, fee may be higher.  Requestor will be notified of any fee above the $100 per object standard.

**Replacement fee for a lost or damaged transparency is $300.00.  Fee for overdue transparencies is
$25.00 per month overdue, billed upon late return.

***Permission fees may be waived for scholars on low budgets.  Please submit request in Additional Notes section of online order form, or attach note to faxed version of form.  Permission fees are waived for institutions borrowing Hood Museum of Art objects and illustrating them in exhibition catalogues.

****Web use permissions are granted on a limited case by case basis and are restricted to objects in the public domain. 

Payment

Prepayment is required on all orders.  Payment must be made via money order or Check in US Dollars drawn on a US Bank. We are not set up to receive payment via Credit Card.  We do NOT accept electronic bank transfer payments.

Following receipt of payment, new photography requests take up to two months time.  Existing photography requests take up to one month.
Rush orders may be considered at the rate of 200%, but are not always an option.

A service fee is added to all orders:  $ 5.00 for domestic orders; $ 10.00 for International orders.  Domestic orders are sent via U.S. First Class mail.  International orders are sent via Air Mail.  Orders may be sent via UPS or Federal Express if applicant makes the request and provides the account number to be billed.
