One of the museum’s largest and most varied collections, the holdings of European graphic arts feature a wide range of works on paper, including prints, drawings, watercolors, photographs, and posters. The collection contains a variety of extraordinary pieces from some of the best known artists and movements, dating from the late fifteenth century to the early modern era. Although artists of many cultures are represented, the collection is especially strong in Dutch, French, German, and Italian works.
