The American sculpture collection is comparatively modest, with the primary strength being portrait busts and full-length sculptures of Daniel Webster, Dartmouth Class of 1801. Other works represented include artists who were associated with the art colony of nearby Cornish, New Hampshire, such as Augustus Saint-Gaudens, as well as examples of American folk sculpture.
