Genre, Figure, Marine, and Narrative Painting

Though these categories of painting are less well represented, the Hood collection does include important genre paintings from the 1840s through the Reconstruction era as well as later figurative works by Elihu Vedder, Frederic Remington, and Frederick Carl Frieseke.
