The Hood's small ceramics collection is strongest in Grueby Arts and Crafts pottery made at the turn of the twentieth century in Boston and mid-twentieth-century pottery by Paul St. Gaudens of Cornish, New Hampshire (nephew of the sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens). The collection also features a few pieces of Staffordshire and Chinese export porcelain used in the United States.
