A relatively small collection of one hundred objects comprise the Hood’s works from the Northern Woodlands and Great Basin regions. These are almost equally divided between archaeological artifacts and historical objects. While the archaeological artifacts are comprised of about fifty terra cotta shards from the Mr. and Mrs. George H. Browne Collection, the historic objects include dolls from the Wellington Collection and baskets from the Ida Farr Miller Collection, from the collection of Captain Herbert L. Shuttleworth II, Class of 1935, and from the Frank C. and Clara G. Churchill Collection. Also from this region are hide paintings, beaded leggings, moccasins, and parfleches.
