CAN I MAKE A MEMBERSHIP CONTRIBUTION ONLINE?

Yes, you may make a membership contribution online via http://dartmouth.imodules.com/hoodmembership.

When you click the link you will be taken to our online donations form where you will be asked to complete the membership form with your information; once complete, click to submit the credit card transaction. You will receive an immediate confirmation and receipt of your transaction.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MEMBERSHIP CARD?

Please allow three weeks after submitting your membership for your card to arrive. If you have not received your card by then, please contact the Membership Program Coordinator, Julie Ann Otis, at (603) 646-0414 or email Julie.Ann.I.Otis@dartmouth.edu.

WILL I RECEIVE MY MUSEUM SHOP DISCOUNT WITHOUT MY CARD?

As a benefit to our members, the 15% museum discount is exclusive to those who present their membership card at the time of purchase.

I THINK I HAVE LOST MY CARD OR NEVER RECEIVED IT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Call the Membership Program Office at 603-646-0414 or e-mail Julie.Ann.I.Otis@dartmouth.edu.

HOW MANY CARDS DO I GET?

You will receive one membership card per member, up to two per household, along with an acknowledgment of your membership from the Hood's director.

MAY I BRING A GUEST TO MEMBER PREVIEW PARTIES, COURSES, TRIPS, AND EVENTS?

As a benefit, members get exclusive invitations to special member events that are not open to the public. All membership events may be attended by the individual(s) covered on the membership card. Potential guests are encouraged to become members before attending member events.

CAN I GET IN FREE AT OTHER MUSEUMS?

Participants at the Member Level and above receive free admission or discounts at museums nationwide through the National Association of Reciprocal Membership (NARM). To see the current list of participating museums, click here.

IF I AM ELIGIBLE, WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY POSTCARDS AND CATALOGUES?

Patron-level members and above receive a packet of postcards of images from the Hood Museum of Art permanent collections at the time they join. Director's Circle members and above will receive Hood exhibition catalogues that will be mailed out at the end of the calendar year.

IS MY MEMBERSHIP TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Members at every level are eligible to claim their entire gift as a tax deduction. For members at the PatronLevel and above, the value of the benefit(s) will be deducted from the membership fee for tax purposes. However, you may choose to forego benefits that have a monetary value in order to claim your entire gift.

HOW CAN I STAY INFORMED ABOUT EXHIBITIONS, PROGRAMMING, AND EVENTS?

There are several ways to stay on top of what is happening at the Hood. As a member, you receive the Hood Museum of Art Quarterly, a full-color publication with features on the collections, current and upcoming exhibitions, acquisitions, staff changes, news, and a calendar of events. When you supply the museum with your e-mail address, you will also receive Hood Happenings, a monthly electronic update of news, exhibitions, and events.

MY COMPANY HAS A MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM. IS THE HOOD ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE MATCHING GIFT?

The Hood Museum of Art is able to accept matching gifts. Please contact the membership office for details.
