On April 15, 2009, William Dartmouth, the 10th Earl of Dartmouth, paid a visit to the Hood Museum of Art and viewed two eighteenth-century portraits by well known portrait artist Pompeo Batoni including one of his ancestor William Legge, 2nd Earl of Dartmouth (1731-1801; center).
